The Ashigaru Open Source project has released Ashigaru Whirlpool, a version of Samourai Wallet’s Whirlpool, allowing users to join Zerolink Coinjoins to enhance Bitcoin transaction privacy.
“This is a massive effort and effort in Asigal’s open source projects over the past six months, and we must become familiar with and comfortable with the broad codebase of multiple repositories. This is why development of Asigal Mobile has been quiet and slower during this period.
Ashigaru Whirlpool holds the core coin join cycle design with Samourai’s Tdevd, Zeroleak and Oxt’s LaurentMT, and Ashigaru Open Source Project adds extensions to various protocols.

Ashigaru Terminal is a non-radical whirlpool client that allows users to participate in a pool of their choice, increase the anonymity of transactions, and maintain full control of their funds without the need for a personal Dojo server during the coin join cycle.
Note: The Ashigaru.RS website is the official home of the Ashigaru Open Source project. This project does not maintain its presence on social media, and all used information must be verified against the content of the official website.
what’s new
TOR-only Implementation: Ashigaru Whirlpool operates with TOR alone, preventing ClearNet connections and preventing malicious coordinators from protecting IP address linking and wallet clustering. TOR Identity Separation is built to prevent coordinators from linking session IDs across the Coinjo Instage and to ensure user network anonymization dependencies. Supports rapid deployment of new instances.
“Our coordinators are further modularized by eliminating dependencies on local full nodes for RPC connections. Therefore, coordinators can connect to Dojo full nodes via TOR, allowing for speed of deployment and recovery, minimal hardware resource requirements, and greater jurisdictional flexibility.”
Anti-Civil Measures: Anti-Civil fees fixed at 5% of the pool size will be charged for TX0 broadcasts to enter the pool and a cap of 20 UTXO per TX0 to add civil resistance. It is prohibited as a mix-to-output of Coinjun Cycle to maintain anonymity and compatibility with mix post tools such as Ashigaru Mobile and Sparrow. Code improvements: The Samorai fork codebase was made numerous to the Samorai fork codebase, including updated dependencies, any term adjustments to the end-terminal term of the Sparru terminal adjustment. The default is a .Onion Electrum server for privacy and has the option of a private server connection via Tor or ClearNet. Unsupported wallet types include legacy, wrapped segment wit, taproot, and multisig scripts. TX0 fee estimate target block confirmation. If the block space competition is high, we advise users to wait for a lower rate.
“Remote and automatic updates of TOR URLs to connect to both Ashigaru Whirlpool and transactional broadcasts using the ‘Hanzaki’ feature will be featured in future releases,” said a blog post.
Quick Guide
Check out this brief overview by K3Tan. Learn how to use the new Ashigaru terminal.
“My advice is to take a measured approach to this. This is new software and there may still be bugs. Start small, get comfortable, and gradually level up. Don’t expect a mix right away. It’s important to be patient. The randomness of the time interval between mixtures plays a role in dissolution of the collarbone.
The Ashigaru terminal is optimized for use with Sparrow Wallet, Ashigaru Mobile and Samourai Wallet. These wallets support Whirlpool’s unique account derivation paths and include spending tools tailored to maintain privacy during transactions from the pool.
